Operating Modes

USB Streaming

Legacy guide — no longer updated

USB Streaming Mode sends raw signals from the HealthyPi 5 directly to a computer over USB, where the OpenView 2 desktop application visualises the data and optionally logs it to CSV.

This is the most common mode for development, signal validation, and lab use.

Requirements

  • HealthyPi 5 (any kit)
  • USB-C cable (not included)
  • Computer running Windows, Linux, or macOS

Steps

  1. Download OpenView 2 for your platform:

    Linux Download for Linux
    macOS Download for macOS
  2. Extract the zip and launch the OpenView 2 application.

  3. Pick the board. On launch, a dialog asks for the board and serial port.

OpenView 2 supports several ProtoCentral devices — make sure HealthyPi 5 is selected from the board dropdown.
